Lets not forget that they are paying Fez to sit there and not speak for weeks at a time. There is no understanding of what is entertaining and what is a draw for the management of SiriusXM. Will they get a paycut? Probably, but they'll also probably be re-signed.

This is ridiculous. SiriusXM undoubtedly likes this show now, for all the reasons the fans hate it. And the only thing that matters in this is what SiriusXM thinks. What the fans think has never mattered; not for two consecutive seconds.

How do you know what SXM thinks? Why would they like this show? I understand that it is watered down and tame, making it easier to deal with and negotiate with, but how could you know what SXM thinks?

I think the O&J will be done come October. I could see both of them being retained in some form after the contract expires, but certainly not with their own channel and with this show format.

The O and A show reviews before ant left where really quite negative as well, but it was very obvious that sirius wanted them to sign again (we will redo the studio if you guys re-sign) and i really don't think they have lost that many listeners if your basing that off of the 5-600 people that come here everyday you would be sorely mistaken. First off a lot of stand with ant guys came here to vent after ant got fired and just stuck around. The average listener for probably a majority of their audience listens for an hour or so in the car on their way to and from work, i have no doubt they kept a majority of that audience the phones are still very very active (which is the only gauge we have for popularity) and compared to your average FM show or most of the other shows on sirius its still up there in quality , name a morning show on sirius that's better.

I think they will for sure get offered another deal its just a matter of whether they take it or not, it seems as if opie is in discussions about a third chair currently (artie has been discussed etc.) and they wouldn't be doing that if there wasn't an offer from sirius on the table or they didn't expect one, opie also says hes gotten several podcast offers but that could be a bargaining ploy for sirius either way if its a bargaining ploy that would mean that sirius has put an offer on the table.

I think opie will probably get more money, i highly doubt they lost anywhere near half their listeners and jimmy will probably get a pay bump and third chair wont be making as much as ant was. So sirius would still be paying less for the show in the end.

They always said something about stern's ratings back in the day, that the people who hated him listened twice as long, opie gets so much attention on these forums, people are obsessed so clearly they are listening in some fashion they are always bringing up things he did wrong on the show, all this hate may be the best thing that ever happened to him.( i really just think its a vocal minority anyways, people that are happy are far less likely to engage on social media than people that are angry, and that goes for just about anything)

I think there is no way he's getting a pay raise. What leverage does he have to demand that? He'll be lucky to not take a pay cut. Any money for the third mic will be coming right out of Opie and Jim's paycheck. There is no way they'll keep the same pay if they get a third mic.
