Opie sued Chaunce and the Post for $10 million for interviewing a scorned former employee (Ben Sparks) who claimed he had a sex tape.
This is EXACTLY what Opie had done with Crazy Cabbie, a former K-Rock employee and friend of the Stern show that was interviewed on O&A claiming he had a Howard Stern sex tape.
The Post and O&A were just reporting what the former employees had said, but Opie and his wife felt the need to sue when it was done to them. The lawsuit was thrown out.
After reading the article, I do believe that Opie called back and asked for the answer to be changed.
Look back at all the things Opie cares about - creating a catchphrase, applying said phrase on bumper stickers and shirts, creating viral content. All of that was brought to fruition with WOW.
Regardless of who created it, he needed to take sole credit for it - because he is a me-monster.

Im actually listening to the shows during the last week(around 2008-04-20~) and literally 30 minutes ago I heard a statement were they had to retract the statement they did about the sex tape and the fact that they never saw a sex tape and Chaunce have commented on seeing the sex tape and saying it was really dirty(or something).
O&A called up Bam on the show and he admitted to never even met or seen Opies fiance, Opie put 100.000$ up for a copy of the tape, not the original you could keep that one, but a copy and he would give you 100k, in the phonecall with Bam he said he would also put up 100k cause he would never allow someone else to videotape a sextape and the cocaine addict ben spark douchebag who started this shit, he never met Bam.
The commented on the WoW and Opie said that its complete bullshit that both of them came up with it and Ant agreed and spoke like he was telling the truth. However I could see Opie calling back saying it was him but he sounded totally legit.
