Thoughts on latest podcast (Ep - 65 - JFL Montreal)?

I have gotten through about half of this podcast (45 min) and realized that there wasn't a second entertainment contained within the first half.

This is my first podcast download since Anthony's firing and I am no longer a subscriber. What has happened? Was it a difficult room because it was a live show with an audience?

Opie admitted on twitter that it was a tough room. Too many comedians and they weren't able to get any flow going.

That said, the last week of shows have really started to become hit or miss.

Fair enough, but it was a strange choice to use as the weekly podcast episode. If the podcast is used as a marketing tool to promote the show then this was a failed attempt at that.

Yes, I have no clue why when opie admitted it was weak they'd use it for the podcast. Probably a management call since they paid to send the show up there.

It's weird because it's 6AM in a shitty hotel conference room. I had fun when I was there, but people were clearly tired (talent and audience) and it's tough to joke or laugh

That 30-40 when all those comics were in there, and then Pete Holmes walked in as a sacrificial slaughter is one of my favorite moments of the year so far. I laughed so fucking hard, I loved how they busted his balls. Every time he'd say Ray Romano, they'd all go "WhoOoOoAAaa!!" That's like shit you do to each other working at a factory or something, that always cracks me up.

To have all those guys in the same room was still amazing. I know it turned out oddly stilted, but it was still pretty fucking cool.

Thoughts.......? We'll I thought Opie was the unfunniest guy at a comedy festival. That has to be worth something.

They still do those weekly podcasts after Anthony got fired? Christ.

It's all new clips now. Ever since Ant's firing they haven't put any shows on there with him on.
