If someone holds a gun up to your head and says if you say something that I don't like then I will shoot you is that free speech?

Even Opie is on the right side on this.

The caller said, there are consequences to speech.

But the companies succumb to pressure before ever letting those consequences play out.

If something someone says is offensive, then people will stop listening. The free market is not a few hundred or thousand people on Twitter when your potential audience is millions.

Yeah, we all heard the video.

Come over here and kiss me, man.

not me! hate the important jimmy

This is stupid logic. Companies are allowed to preemptively act. That's the free-market. Stopping companies from firing people is not the free-market at work.

Whether or not the companies are stupid for doing so is another issue altogether.

They finally started standing up to bible thumpers and the religious right. When are they going to stand up to the religious left.

How often to companies ACTUALLY act preemptively? When is it ever not because of pressure from special interest groups outrage?

Um Ant?

That's fine as well...

That's just further evidence in their mind that they will be adversely affected.

You're rambling, woman.

"Purple drink!"

Sam is an out of touch asshole who's desperately trying to cling to the youth. It's annoying that the older guys think he's young and cool and hip. He's not, he's a fucking dork and a loser to anyone actually in those circles.
