It's starting to fall off from their first days back, they had support of comics coming in, but seems to be drying up.
Jimmy has always tried to be serious, but Ant would wait and pounce on him if he said something silly or something Ant could turn into funny. Now it's not there, he just keeps going until WAIT WAIT happens.
A solid 2. There's no energy there. There's no spark. Ant has a HUGE fire under his ass, he's having a ball, he's focused, he's into it. Opie and Jimmy are phoning it in - the only enjoyable material has been from guests. I no longer have that "gotta hear the show" feeling, I listen later if I get around to it, and remember to download it.
What's insufferable is their discussions of current events without Ant. They come out as two complete dummies. People may not like Ant's opinion on certain issues but at least he knew what he was talking about. The ebola talk last week is the most painful thing I've ever listened.
Their discussion of current events can best be described as misinformed speculation presented as facts, with a complete lack of focus on the important aspects of the story.
Its been okay, it suffers when another comic isn't there, they haven't really been doing the things I hated about the show since Ant got fired. I mostly just miss the Ant/Jimmy rapport but overall it's been almost as good, so if the old show was 8/10 id give the new form about 7/10
less staff WWE Sam Drama
no lady di
no bobo
less Sam in general
less b-list celeb guests
I just like when they talk about current events and make fun of pop culture stuff
I don't dispute that it was horrible before the firing. But that doesn't mean that this is good radio either. They can both be bad, and in my opinion - it has been.

Some folks might enjoy Pat Cooper, a better scale might be: Today's Show (0) - Tequila and Donuts (10)

Pat Coopers last show with O and A was hilarious

As well as him going toe-to-toe with Patrice and making him laugh as hard as he's ever laughed before.

So Opie has turned into "We're two guys" by dragging out basic questions and rephrasing them infinitely.

Pat Cooper?! Why not Roland? Pat Cooper's Stern rant was epic. That guy can bust balls like nobody else.

I use this sub as a barometer for whether I should download the show that day.

That meathead Rogan had a more intelligent discussion of ebola the other day - and I don't expect intelligent talk from him.

The show with Gervais and Pete Rose was probably an 8, most have been about a 5, a few have been 2 or 3.

I'm guessing the 2's and 3's were the shows without any guests.

Pat Cooper's the shit.

I haven't listened to every minute like I had in the past, but the two Robin Williams hours were great. (One Tues, one Wed).

and I like the staff drama and Lady Di/Bobo stuff because O&J are dummies when it comes to current events. So.....there you go

I think people forget just how bad the shows were in the weeks leading up to the firing. O&J has been a 7 for me.
