Weakest of 5 shows. DAMN! Give the guy a few weeks before the "to date" bullshit.

Big Jay Oakerson was really funny. Probably the biggest laughs I've had on the show so far.

Wasn't a fan of all the callers. He also should had Jay on during the retards in film bit.

Show was fine. It's an interactive show, I have no idea why so many of you hate the call in segment on both shows. A couple of the callers sucked, but in general I like the call in aspect of talk radio.

My only gripe is he needs to get the audio worked out. The video clips were louder than he was, I could barely hear him when he was commenting over the clips. I had to ride the volume button throughout the show. The clip-on / remote mics he has suck. There is a huge difference in audio quality when he switches to those and they both sounded muffled at times. It's only in it's second week. I enjoyed it more than O&J this morning, which only lasted about 40 minutes before I couldn't take it anymore.

The video stuff and the audio stuff needs some tweaking. Overall not a terrible show minus the glitches.

99% of the people that call into radio shows, especially O&A, are complete retards.

Its always been the worst part of the show, its basically for killing time, which is fine when you're doing four hours a day. Anthony is only doing two hours a day.

Once he has a way to screen calls I'm curious to see if the different time slot and less truckers/southerners will improve the caller quality. Opie and Anthony's callers used to really be able to contribute.

You could easily say Opie and Jimmy are still trying to figure things out too if this is your argument. The chemistry Anthony brought to the show isn't just a replaceable thing and it's clear Anthony needs a host. Opie and Anthony need each other. It's clear Anthony can't host a show on his own for very long. He needs someone he can riff off of while they move the show along and ant can just focus on being funny. I've said for years and after watching TAC it's becoming more obvious.

The difference here is that O&J have a team of people working on their show, they have tons of help available to them to make the show listenable. Opie has always sucked. He never would have gotten this far without Ant. He has bragged for years about how much of a radio genius he is (Hoo Hoo.. sound like anybody ???) and how he knows how to do good radio. Over the years when they would go on TV.. where was he? Ant did all the talking because Opie had nothing to bring to the table. He's not funny, he's uninteresting and now he's finally having it all shoved back up his ass.

What Ant has pulled off by himself, KTC, and very little other help in a month is pretty amazing.

If he doesn't like the staff, that is his fault. He got people like Derek, Danny, Stuntbrain and Steve and Than fired or they willingly left because they didn't like Opie. Opie replaced them with people he clearly likes such as his twink lover Sam.

Two people having a conversation and playing off of each other is almost ALWAYS better than a single host talking by himself and taking calls.

If Ant wants to put on the best possible show, he needs to reach into some of that subscription money and hire a co-host, or maybe a series of co-hosts that he can rotate, depending on the type of show he has planned for the day.

If Ant wants to take the show into a more political direction, he'd be a moron not to realize the immediate chemistry that he had with Sean Bergin. He should be bringing that guy by the compound on a weekly basis and giving him a trial run.

Otherwise, he should be bringing in an established comedian that he has decent chemistry with like Joe DeRosa.

It depends on the host. I listen to Tom Leykis' stream once in a while and he's very, very good at doing a show by himself. He's prepared and his delivery is perfect. But when he brings his guys in to chat, it's unbearable, and he's a terrible interviewer.

Rush Limbaugh is also good at doing a show without a 2nd or 3rd mic. He wouldn't be able to share the mic anyway.
