Did you see him in Buffalo? My ex was there, she said he killed. She was in the front and he worked her over, she had all the tattoos. The shit she texted me that he said to her had me laughing my ass off. Fuckin Vos.
Yep, in Buffalo tonight. Thanks for the review. I love bashing Vos, but I can't wait for a great show from him tonight. I'll be upfront with a Florentine shirt, laffs galore!
Id love to see Vos. I saw him ONE time ever in Buffalo, he opened for Jimmy in like 2001 when O&A first got picked up on FM there. He's never in LA. I remember Vos got heckled so bad, but the crowd/heckles were hilarious and he just went with it/smashed us back. It was fun.
Vos gets in a fight with Mike Birbiglia, who is surprisingly tough, and it gets nasty when Roland jumps in and tears into Vos. A long recording, but worth listening to.
I was front row for the Thursday show. He said I had the sense of humor of a tumor. Afterwards I told him how I listened to the o and a show for 14 years and his podcast so I already knew all the set ups and punchlines. I still enjoyed the show and showed support as I always do to friends of the show. I even bought a cd which contained a hour of the same exact set I just heard. Not complaining. A lot of acts recycle the same crap. Unless you have specials, movies and bigger audience's no one will want to write material for you.
Yeah, I ended up being part of his last bit. He asked if there were any questions, so I asked how Bonnie was. He went on this thing about she's opening for Ralphie May tonight, then asked if I listened to the podcast. When I said I preferred Billy Burr's, he goes "Sir, you're sitting alone. Enough said." And then said he liked the group that had been eating french fries all night and not paying attention to the show better than me.
He was awesome though. Got the same CD, so new that iTunes doesn't even recognize it when I tried to upload. He also was kind of enough to grab a couple of pictures with me after the show, both selfies and in the dark so it looks like they came from a really sketchy night club. Fun for all.
He's such a good counter puncher too. Vos is the least comprehensible person out of all the regular comedians to the show. He's so dumb but then he's a genius.

I wouldn't pregame on too much of his material, he hasn't written anything new in the last 15 years.

Hence why I'm not listening to the roast of his early material.

Im in LA, she moved back to Buffalo. We're still bff's. When we met & realized we were both O&A fans, it was like instant bf/gf.

I know I'm late, but this is one of my favorite Vos clips: http://youtu.be/QQzfPk_YY1o

Edit: At least listen to this clip of Roland firing off: http://youtu.be/WGdx60Fhtg4

The Spinning Wheel of Death show has plenty of Vos-stinks material.
