Yes it's going to be permanent. The vacation days is just a bullshit excuse. Opie said a while back that "4 day weeks are coming boys and girls". Why wouldn't they? The show is so bad right now they need the time off. But then the way Jim went after Opie for saying "moisture in my ears" shows the lack of chemistry so I think less is better for a while till they figure out where they are headed.

I believe Opie said that the boys had vacation days they were using to take off Friday for the rest of the summer. This was before Ant's departure, but I doubt that affects their vacation.

It'll probably run through the contract at least. Jimmy misses a lot of Fridays doing shows so an Opie only show would be awkward, even if they were to get him a random guest to co-host.
