jimmy's donald sterling bit should be as viral as louie's cell phone bit.

I know it's on his latest VICE episode
So, give a link and then a timestamp for when the bit actually starts

fuck, this is hard.
i think you can count the theme of the bit and buildup with unrelated material @1:35
for just the donal donald sterling stuff @3:30

It's fucking funny man. I'm not a huge fan of Jim's standup but from 1:35 and on, I really think it's the best 5 minutes I've seen him do
I hope VICE does more shows with him

it's all stuff he used in his stand-up act word-for-word nearly.. His act is very good!

In typical Jim Norton fashion, it's out-of-date already and nobody is thinking about Donald Sterling anymore.

It's part of his recent stand-up act... He basically did 10min of his act in this week's vice show

Even if the bit is really good, it's pretty difficult for something to become viral when it's 3:30 in to a 26 minute video. Jimmy should try cutting out some clips like this or the Uncle Mingle sketch so they can be passed around a bit.

I think the real problem with that bit going viral is that it didn't happen while the Donald Sterling story was actually in the news so it's unlikely to go viral now. Sterling has kinda fallen off the map for most people a few months ago. The Anderson Cooper interview he references was from 3 months ago. It's dated material. Leno wouldn't be doing his opening monologue using stuff from the news 3 months ago. He knew when these episodes were coming out so he should have just done generic material rather than ripping things from headlines that won't be in the headlines anymore when the shows air.

I saw it this morning It was really fucking good. I haven't laughed that hard at stand up in a long time.

I haven't really enjoyed his VICE show, but this third episode was a hit. He kept the "poor me, I don't deserve this show because I'm so awkward" schtick to a minimum and the monologue was hysterical. The two pre-recorded bits were the best so far, too.
The "poke poke poke" joke about modern America was the truest and funniest way I've ever seen it put. Hysterical.

It was amazing, but my first thought was "Who the fuck does a talk show taped weeks in advance?"
Talk shows are suppose to be enitrely about current events. If your talk show is taped weeks in advance clearly there is nothing worth watching. I love Jimmy, and the show isn't bad, but he's a fucking idiot for taping a talk show like a sitcom. Talk shows should be live, or released within hours. WTF was he or anyone working on the show thinking?

How much editing is required? It's a simple talk show with a few sketches? A professional team should be able to release that within 2 hours.
