Sam thinks he should have his own show?

Why? He's a bore. Never said a funny or interesting thing. Ever. He is depressingly awful at radio.

He needs to realize that SXM couldn't give East Side Dave a 2-hour gig on Saturday nights, and Dave has talent.

He thinks because he has worked in radio for a while he is entitled to a show. Not how things work in the corporate world and if Jim or Opie actually wanted to help him out, they would let him know this.

He's doing better than most of the fat slobs on here. Sometimes if you cannot change the things around you, the only thing is to change yourself.

He used to have the aftershow.

The only reason he has a show is because it's on Opie's channel. SXM treats all of them like shit, and I'd be very surprised when it's all said and done, (especially if they walk in October) if he can even get a job there cleaning the toilets. SXM is notoriously cheap as well, if they did keep him on, they won't pay him anywhere close to what he is making now (which is probably around 40,000 a year.. peanuts in NYC's economy).

He's depressed. Sam picked a career in a dying field (might as well go into typewriter repair) and put all his eggs in the O&A basket. Now, he's got to provide for a wife and child in one of the most expensive cities in the world. He believes that he should have advanced farther by now. It sucks when your career doesn't advance, especially when you're hard-working. Say what you will about Sam, but you can't deny the fast that he puts in more hours than anyone. He's probably selling wrestling figures from the 1980s so that they can afford daycare.

Sam doesn't have a kid.

Wife is still pregnant?

Unless I'm out of the loop (totally possible), I think they were discussing having a child but she's not pregnant, yet.
