I've always defend the 2nd Amendment, freedom of speech, etc. and have defended Ant at length since he was unjustly fired, which I still believe that he was. I think that most of his detractors are just as bigoted as he is and were just looking for a target to vent their hatred.

However I think I must still be a hyper-radical leftist according to you since Ant has forced me to drop my support of him after he went on Political Cesspool for some mutual ball washing with the host. South Park is good but they are leaning left in recent seasons. They used to say that they hate conservatives but they really hate liberals. I'm not so sure that's true anymore.

That's true. It is much harder to justify refusing to give someone something than to advocate giving someone something.

Even if the debaters are evenly matched, the person who advocates, say, increasing welfare or forcing companies to pay for certain forms of birth control are going to win every single time. My God, when I have advocated for the popular position, it's so much easier. It's like everybody likes you. It's difficult to resist that urge to just go with populist sentiment.

Anyway, on a micro level, everybody should take advantage of every single advantage they have, even if that means free shit someone else pays for. You would be stupid not to.
