Unless you want to call in, or there's a chat room you want to be in, then there's no point in watching live. Just watch it at 8, when you want.

TV may be shit but going up against prime time programming Monday through Thursday is just a losing proposition. Also, by 8pm and especially 10pm, I seriously doubt Ant could keep himself sober enough four days a week to put on a watchable or listenable show.

Eh, it's still just a podcast. The visual thing is a nice convenience every so often, but it's still closer to a radio show than The Daily Show.

Besides, you're not considering the option of watching it when it isn't live. I know why...you want to hear it live in case you want to call in right? Well, when do you ever sit in front of your tv in your big chair and slippers in the dark living room waiting on the phone.

The show's format is better suited to people in their cars with nothing to do who might be bored enough to call in.

Anthony's no dummy, he's been a professional broadcaster for several years, and he's charging people to listen. I have faith that he'll put on a quality show, and won't allow his brother and hangers-on to take over the airwaves.

If it was a free "for the fuck of it" show, yeah, we could be in trouble. But he knows what's on the line, and he knows that nobody wants to hear from his brother or the other leeches in his life.

And if he doesn't know it, he's going to find out really quick, and will make the necessary adjustments.

The marketplace......the subscribers or a lack thereof......will guide content, because he has to listen to his customers, because he's basically unemployable and out of other options.

20 years of O&A as a show overall saw its largest fanbases built in Philly, Boston, Cleveland, NYC and Buffalo. Even if that wasn't true, Ant's opinions fit better with east coast mentality than west. 8-10 has never been the most desirable slot. Afternoon is a significantly bigger league. It's kind of a no brainer.

Don't they make smartphones you can use plugged into your car? I honestly don't know much about it because I've never tried it, never liked streaming anything, but I assumed the technology for that was common now.
