Jimmy gotta stay more comfortable, drop that self deprecation shit! Biggest TV show!
Other than that, well done interview, known about Rick since he was on Joe's podcast, interesting shit, good stories and interview. Jimmy is great too.
i agree, too much of the self deprecation stuff, and i think if he didn't go all the way with some of his thoughts this could be a truly big show. by this i mean at the end where he is joking about what would happen in prison to him. he was getting good laughs, but i think he went too far for mass market appeal with the blow job reference. personally i find him bloody funny, but i feel he can be edgy and hilarious without the need for the over the top stuff if he wants to hit it big with a lot more people
Totally agree, although it could be the elephant in the room if he just never mentioned anything self deprecating at all. Much like how he described the way he mentioned his dumb blinking quite strategically right off the bat because it's a new audience, hopefully he's just getting it all out of his system in the early episodes.
I think he'd benefit from having a 2nd chair not named bailey jay. It's obvious he's not used to being alone in interviewing, but his self deprecation is right in line with how he always talks. He can't shut his mind up when he calls himself out, and I rather like it. One of the reasons he stands out from all other talk hosts.
Yea, I like it aswell. But what I find semi-annoying is that he doesnt really make eye contact like he's uncomfortable in a way that he doesnt deserve or something.
Tyson was shy, and Dana White seemed to not want to talk over Tyson, or interject, Jim kinda had to pull teeth.
With Freeway, once Jim lead the conversation with a question he took right off, Jim was spot on with follow ups.
I also enjoyed the Rick Ross interview more, he has a great story. Something unconventional of course.
I also give him some leeway on the self depreciating. It is his defense mechanism when he sees himself bombing, you notice it in his live shows if he is having a bad one, he does it alot more. It also puts the guest at ease, and lets them know this is not Letterman or Leno, and they can let it all hang out.
Much better, Jim actually asks questions this time. The first one with like and then you with like hemming and like hawing and never actually asking it

Much better show than the first one.
For this reason: the guest seemed more into it.
Tyson was shy, and Dana White seemed to not want to talk over Tyson, or interject, Jim kinda had to pull teeth.

Confidence is what he needs.

anyone know the name of the intro song?
6 Phantas_Magorical 2014-07-31
I assume it's just something Vice threw together and not an actual song.

Welcome to the internet, where you're the least funny person in the room. Should feel like home to you Vos.

He's great on his podcast, and the two specials I've seen from him were killer.
