Artie Lange where his exploits off air affected his work and made him a bad deal.
Howard Stern where his politics affected his entertainment value. (the who cares about kittens compared to long rants about the vile nature of minorities according to him)
I say the latter, which is turned me off on the show, but he certainly didn't need to be fired. though i'm sure if in some bizarre event if stern would be fired many on this sub would be dancing in the streets.
when Lange pulled the "you're a faggot and die of aids" tirade I don't remember how much trouble he got in besides crumbs taking his name off of that delicious cupcake. though it got rid of the arrogant troyquan for the same thing.
