I wish these assholes would see how moronic it is when they report that the "offending" material was deleted... but then provide you a way to listen just to be offended.
It's full of dated meanness and homophobic slurs that nobody—on air or off—uses for cheap giggles anymore.
So annoying. Because a lot of people would say they're out of touch if they actually believe that, but it's worse than just ignorance. It's their little way of trying to brainwash everyone into making the world the way they feel it should be. Just act like it's universally that way and eventually people will get the idea that to deviate from the way it already is, is some monstrously reprehensible societal crime.
It's indicative of the smugness of these creeps and their unwavering belief in the infallibility of their ideas. Not that it isn't typical of the last 10 years, but it never stops being irritating.
I won't think any less of the guy if he does a grovelling apology, what happened to Ant proves that standing by what you said and personally responding to people who take it out of context is not going to save your job.
If a guy on an uncensored platform with 20 year experience isnt safe then this guy has no chance.
He already got fired. If this catches in mainstream media it will just be good publicity for ant. But not so much for the other guy i suppose. Horrible that people are fighting a war on words now.
The title of the article literally spells it out that they're making fun of the station for posting dated, now-considered-too-offensive-to-air material. "D.C. Station Remembers The Good Times, When Radio Guys Could Say 'Fag'". Not "Radio Host Said 'Fag' A Long Time Ago, Let's Get Him".

Chad Dukes is a cunt but I don't support this witch hunt against him.
This stuff will not stop until someone the media gives the internet lynching to responds by committing suicide.
There are so many really serious, important things going on in the world right now; this is not one of them.

It won't stop even then.

They're mostly pointing out how horrible the WJFK web team are at their jobs.
