I always enjoy his off-the-cuff commentary on random things over his actually written material. He's a naturally funny guy so it seems kind of odd for me watching him doing something he has rehearsed
Norton tells comics not to fake laugh at their own punchlines, which I get, but there IS a balance to it. I've always thought it was awkward how Jim will tell a line that's obviously supposed to be funny without even smiling at it - he just keeps a very unnatural serious face.
People like Burr and Louie are perfect at this - they just naturally smile or laugh at the funny things they say. It's okay to have fun Jim.

It was really good. I somewhat want him to bring this style more into his stand up, but I don't know if it would work.

the dog sliding across linoleum reference was a brilliant take on what it means to be a comedian. Norton's insight never fails to impress me.

Great job by Jim. Does anyone have the other years keynotes? I know Colin was last year but I don't know anything before that.

Patton did it in 2012: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=brhuMYNzyQM , and Marc Maron in 2011: http://www.laughspin.com/2011/08/02/exclusive-video-marc-marons-complete-keynote-address-from-just-for-laughs, and thats as far back as an immediate google search goes.

He did ramble a bit, but I really enjoyed it. Hopefully people will listen

What an unprepared, meandering bunch of crap.
