Question: Would CQ make a good 3rd mic or even do a show of his own?

I think satellite radio could benefit from his positivity...

I don't think Colin would if he was ever offered. Years ago him and Bobby were offered a deal to do a podcast and Colin turned it down. I think Colin wants to focus entirely on comedy until his career is over. He's fine doing a new one man show every two years.

Little known fact: he and Dipaolo were offered a WNEW spot, and an XM satellite spot off a radio demo they did, but Quinn turned it down because art.

I think it's time Opie grew up and did something on his own,he is never going to get someone of the quality of CQ to save his radio career.Calling on Jim's friends to do his show everyday can only last so long.
Say what you want about Ant but within 5mins of being fired he already had his own show plans started.
Fuck the third mic

I think the issue is, they've all 3 been discussing podcasts forever. Ant jumped on his opportunity, Opie will never pull the trigger until pushed. It's just his personality.
I don't have an issue with him getting a 2nd mic - I think he knows he can't carry a show on his own, he's known it all along, it's why he hired Ant in the first place. He knows what he's good at, and I think he's well aware that losing Ant is devastating, and I'm sure he's well aware he need another Ant, or several, to keep doing the kind of show that the O&A show was.
If he doesn't, he needs to get out of radio. I think he knows that. He could go management, he could consult. He has options, but I think he knows his future on the air REQUIRES someone else...and Jimmy isn't it.

Consult? Doesn't that usually entail having an expertise in a subject?

Basically, you're asking for a show where Colin tells Jim:
"SHUT YOUR MOUTH, STUPID!" for 3 hours.
I'd tune in.

All I want is to hear Colin yelling at his comedian friends for hours on end. To me him and Ronnie B are on another level.

Colin deserves more than 3rd mic on a satellite radio show thats not named after him after all the peoples careers he's helped launch.
He should have a Hank Kingsley role on Jimmy's Vice show though because that would be just awesome.
Or a morning zoo show with BoBo Marion and Lady Di

Tough Crowd Radio/podcast sounds great.
They don't have to worry about network executives, commercial breaks or fitting a lot of shit in 22 minutes.
