I bitch about Joe but the day he tweeted something heartfelt to @mcserch seemingly not knowing that the same day O&A had given him a beating, and was surprised by the avalanche of abuse sent to them, was hysterical.

I know he's incredibly hacky, and his show is laughable but I can understand 20 years ago DeRosa* seeing him as a rapper and liking him.

Back to the Grill is a good song lol. He's rapping with Nas for crying out loud.

DeRosa does a kind of rap thing himself, you ever hear it? It's um...not good. I can't find any links, I just did a Youtube serch. I just heard it recently from somewhere, maybe he tweeted it.

This is a better song. Back To The Grill has the kind of chorus that makes me cringe at early hip hop. Just repeat a phrase over and over with no good dynamic. South Bronx is another horrible example of that I don't care how influential it is.

...Yeah, there are a lot of other better songs than Back to the grill. I'm just pointing out that MC Serch had a good song. It's pretty clear there was a lot of other better rap at the time. South Bronx is overrated though, I wouldn't even put that in KRS' Top 10.
