Opie Redemption!

I posted yesterday ripping Op for his Anne Frank discussion, but he totally redeemed himself this morning.

When he hit that laugh track during that extremely sad track of Jim Brewer's mom, I lost it. Funniest thing I have heard in ages.

I hope you keep us posted on your daily-changing opinion of him.

My opinion hasn't changed, I've always been a fan. I thought it would be fair to praise something he did after I bashed him the day before. I guess you always bash someone or always praise them, sounds reasonable.

I honestly thought your post was sarcastic

sounds reasonable.

Oh ya? Is it reasonable?

"It's the Radisson, so...it's pretty good."

Wow, if someone says something sad hit a button that plays a clip of people laughing. How did he figure that out? it's so good he should do it all the time.

Dude your negativity will kill you. It's not healthy. I hope you are more positive in real life.

I'm not, but and your'e right it's not healthy to be so negative towards anyone or anything. It's just when people praise Opie for doing something that is as easy as:

  • Step 1: Recognise someone is saying something that they feel is important.
  • Step 2: Hang up.

  • Step 1: Someone says something terrible happened to them or a family member.

  • Step 2: Hit laughing clip.

  • Step 1: Someone gives you a gift.

  • Step 2: Smash it.

These are Opies 'great' bits and it doesn't bother me that it may hurt someones feelings. It's the fact that it's such a simple process that takes nothing more than the realization that you cannot create humor so you have to compensate by doing things that are uncomfortable. It's hardly worthy of a 'giving opie a pass' because he is such a fucking idiot, just listen to him talk and try to think is there any other 50 year old person you know who is even remotely insecure and just all around stupid in general. Yes it rustles my jimmies. I guess the old opster got another with his genius everything is a 'bit'. Opie pronounces words incorrectly constantly? ITS A BIT. Bores you to death with the same 90's music opinions? BIT. Tries to insinuate that he is some kind of psychoanalyst breaking down peoples behavior and says he loves "people watching"? yeah it's a bit.

Was it? The Captain is steering the ship alright, into an iceberg.

Tss

Not every thought you have should become a thread. This would do better as a comment, for example.

The Opester has been pushing buttons on the radio since he was in Geneseo, fuckface.

The show hasn't passed "The Captain" by... He gets ALL the bits.

He lost it when he got all excited when Breuer said to play Battery to start tomorrow's show, then when Erock played it coming out of break he didn't know who/what it was.
