Kuby and Huell = Bill and Patrice?

Anyone get the feeling that Huell of Breaking Bad was written with Patrice in mind? I don't know how the timelines of K+H being written into the show lines up with Patrice's death, but Bill and Patrice's camaraderie seems like the perfect inspiration for this. I'm not trying to be like "hey, that fat nigga reminds me of that other fat nigga!" Maybe it's just so natural that it just seems nice that it could be true, but over all, I think Patrice would have been a way better Huell. Less subdued, for sure. I'd believe Patrice pickpocketing Jesse more for sure.

Nah. Patrice wasn't lethargic enough. Weight and skin color are all they had in common. He couldn't have added the main thing that made the actual Huell funny. Also, I remember Burr saying he had to put in quite a bit of effort to land each subsequent appearance prior to the last season. They definitely were not written as any kind of tandem.

I dunno, I thought the guy who played Huell was perfect.

Eggs Tyrone!

It's off duh chain, baybeh

I can't see Patrice in that role at all.

No. Because I doubt they wrote Kuby with Bill in mind

Actually they did. Apparently the writers were big fans of his stand-up.

I thought the exact same thing.

I always suspected. We are know Patrice was very self-sabotaging when it came to his career. He walked away from The Office and Spike Lee. Perhaps Vince Gillian offered him Huell and Patrice was like "This nigga ain't flying to Albuquerque to spend a season standing without having any lines."
