Would Sirius be able to sue if Ant uses the show's old bits for his new show? Even though he was part of it, I don't believe he has ownership of it.

O &A have a weird history across multiple employers.

It all comes down to who "owns" the content, past and present.

I would imagine Anthony has rights to old shows (WAAF, WNEW) as a co- owner of O&A. When you hear these bits on SXM, it's likely that O&A licensed it's use and did not just sell it to SXM.

However, all original SXM materials are probably SXM's property - lock, stock and barrel.

So, I'd guess 1994 - 2002, Anthony can use. 2004-2014 he cannot.

EDIT: Typo

2094, the year we make contact with the monolith.

Ah, you got me before I corrected!

If O&A licensed the old stuff, it is possible that there is a master contract with O&A, LLC to license the current shows too, so that they keep ownership.

It all depends on what the individual contracts the guys had with every radio station they've worked for said.

It's possible that WBAB, WAAF, WNEW and SiriusXM all individually own the content that O&A aired on their radio stations. It's also possible that O&A own it all. It's also possible that only some of the stations own that content, and O&A own the gaps in between. It's also possible that Erock is fat.

Just because they've aired stuff from BAB, AAF, and NEW on Sirius, doesn't mean they owned it. They also don't own the rights to play movie trailers or talk show footage from the 80's, but they do it all the time.

This is all just a guess, but considering Infinity didn't let them take anything or use anything after they were fired, I wouldn't be surprised if they made sure that when they were inevitably fired again, they wouldn't be stripped of their content after the satellite years are over.

No shit.
