It's been 13 days since Anthony was terminated and you wouldn't even know Anthony was gone if you relied on the SiriusXM website for information.
SXM seems to neglect the most basic, simple things such as:
Removing Ant's image from their site
Changing the channel name to reflect the current lineup "SiriusXM Talk"
Replacing the Op, Ant and Jim image with the graphic they created for "SiriusXM Talk"
It's just odd that a company that claims Anthony's "remarks and postings are abhorrent to SiriusXM, and his behavior is wholly inconsistent with what SiriusXM represents" would continue to use his name and likeness to sell their product.
It just shows you the bs that was SiriusXM's statement.
If they were smart and rode out the July 4 weekend this would have been forgotten about like #BringBackOurGirls and Kony 2012.
Things like that can take a very long time to get approved and implemented from a corporate standpoint. You'd think it'd be as easy as "he no longer works here, remove all mentions of him from our site." It isn't. They have to find all the places his name/likeness can be found, talk about getting it removed, get it approved, get a plan of action together, and eventually get around to it. That's the condensed version, because I'm on mobile. But there's way more to it than that. It'll take time.
While I agree it's clearly more bureaucratic lethargy than a calculated attempt to bank on the cash cow that is '& Anthony' for a while longer, that doesn't mean we should actually think like this level of corporate laziness is acceptable and condonable. It's understandable and in the realm of reality, but not something that actually makes sense, yanno?
Like none of the steps you outlined are 'Oh, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, I can see why that should take weeks'. It's 'I can see that that would take weeks'.

Just in-case you don't understand what I meant, I'm saying that he appeared on Red Eye as Anthony Cumia, if SiriusXM owned his name, then he would've been sued for appearing on Red Eye, along with going ahead and making The Anthony Cumia Show.
