One thing I liked about today's Sirius show...

No Sam or Roland on air. GREAT fucking show!
I was surprised that Ron was venting about the company, too, the bad decision to move his show, editing his RBP show. Seems he's ready to bail, perhaps?
And, his "I work with A Gay." Fucking Ron.

i hate roland, if his on air persona is anything like his true self, he's a cunt.
4 breadmoccasin 2014-07-14
I hate everything about the guy. I can't say that about anybody who is or ever was a member of the O&A staff.
Roland is David Lee Roth/Ian Halprin tier hate hate hate.

I can take or leave Sam on the show, I am happy Roland wasn't on though.

I share your sentiments sir.

I want to know what's going in inside your head. Your comments bewilder me.

He really is all over the fucking place.

Agreed, half the time I'm upvoting him, and then a day later I'm like what the fuck man, and downvoting. Then I realize it's the same guy.

I like Sam on the air.

A lot of people probably hated this but I enjoyed the fact entire songs were played after breaks, it was oddly calming

I can definitely get used no Roland or Sam!

Was there a post show btw? I tuned out right at the ed.
4 [deleted] 2014-07-14
The blog I listen to didn't have a post show, don't know. I usually stop the stream when they sign off, because I have zero interest in Sam or his "lets pretend to do radio" bits.

No just sam's interview followed immediately by the replay.

Roland can die but sams laughing at lady di always rules
0 sink_tinkler 2014-07-14
For once, Sam actually engaged that pea brain of his and remained silent throughout the show.
12 Atroxa 2014-07-14
They actually made him interview the Situation and his family. I guess Roland never bothered to cancel the booking so they showed up to the studio and they told Sam he had to do it. Then Sam made a comment like, "Great. Now everyone's going to think that I want to do this interview as my moment to shine." I actually sort of felt bad for him and I'm not a Sam fan.
1 sink_tinkler 2014-07-14
Well, shit does roll downhill. I bailed after Sam asked "The Man" a couple of questions, and I'm guessing I didn't miss diddly-shit.
4 TheDewd 2014-07-14
Poor Sam being forced to interview the Situation and his whole family was a fitting cherry on top of this whole absurd ordeal
I hope one day we'll be able to look back on this episode and laugh
2 Atroxa 2014-07-14
You didn't. But it was like, this has to be the last thing in the world Sam wants to do right now.
3 sink_tinkler 2014-07-14
Absolutely. No one in their right mind wants to interview a has-been and his flash-in-the-pan family.
When Sam drops his dumb shtick, he's actually a very strong interviewer. He even managed to make Tony Danza entertaining.
-9 LizardKingRumsfeld 2014-07-14
Who gives a fuck what Sam wants to do? He, like everyone else involved in any way with the show, is a total and complete cunt. Fans included.
2 [deleted] 2014-07-14
I just left a comment saying how I don't feel either way about Sam and you said you agreed with me. Now he's a complete cunt?
Liz, keep it together.
8 [deleted] 2014-07-14
Nope. I think he was told to shut the fuck up. If it was his choice, you'd think Ope and Jimmy would have talked to him, asked him stuff, the usual.
No, I tend to think they knew the little asshole and his shitty, smarmy remarks would not go down well today. I didn't bother to listen if he did a post show, but THANK YOU for his absence.
I know moving forward he'll be back on air, but today was important.
2 just_plain_yogurt 2014-07-14
I agree w/ you. I also hope you realize that Opie sees Sam as his protege. That's why Sam gets time on mic.
3 paradin 2014-07-14
There's no reason Sam can't be both. He's awful on the air right now, but he could very well still be Op's protege and even deserve it. The bits O&A have Jocktobered themselves for all took place well after Op no longer worked with Wease. Who's to say what Sam will be like once he finally learns to eat like an adult and have a drink every once in a while.
1 just_plain_yogurt 2014-07-14
Sam brings nothing to the show in my opinion. I don't care about WWE or Sam's wife & that's pretty much all Sam talks about.
-1 LizardKingRumsfeld 2014-07-14
Agreed. But it's important Roland's blubbery tuchas stay off air every day.
0 just_plain_yogurt 2014-07-14
Sam and Roland are exhausting on the air.
R&F used to be hilarious. That was years ago.
3 billyredface 2014-07-14
Fuck that R&F is still great. Anything Ronnie B is on is going to be worth listening to. As Patrice said, he's one of the greatest radio people of all time. Pepper and Ron are an amazing team and work great together.
1 just_plain_yogurt 2014-07-14
I love Ronnie B. Fez has been dragging down their show for the last 2 or more years.
Pepper gets paid peanuts while Fez cashes in (relatively speaking). Make it the Ron & Pepper show, ditch Fez & have a funny show where both hosts earn a decent living.

Sam isn't the best, there was a point a while back where he tried to reference Goodfellas and I could just picture little Sammy watching big boy movies while he and Jess jotted down notes to try to get into more on-air conversations...
But I don't hate Sam. Sam is just an asshole but it's kind of endearing.
Roland on the other hand, is genuinely hateable.
1 angryfetis 2014-07-14
I would have liked a running bit where a different person tries (badly) to do impressions and use a bullhorn and slide whistle.
Or Opie and Jim talk to Ant like he's there, and "Ant" only responds with sound effects.
I do think it would hurts to mu right now though. :(
