Opie tweeted a link to a scene from Caddyshack where the character is plotting his attack on the gopher. He tweeted he "really really REALLY liked" this scene today, and went as far as to post a :) Could Opie be hinting at a revenge plot against Sirius?? Is this the beginning of DESTROYERGATE???

to be honest (no sarcasm), i'm pretty sure opie has a game plan. if you look at his recent tweets, he seems to be pretty much "team anthony". another point: his tweet about meeting with siriusxm and the show starting monday, he attached the stupid baskedtball-shot. why would he do that? look, opie can be an asshole on-air, but if you saw the unmasked, he seems to be a stand-up dude. i think he will pretty much fu k with sirius till october,.... this could be some very funny 3 months ^

I bet Opie is pissed a Sirius because they removed the channel name and don't seem interested in rebranding it under Opie and Jim. And since the subscribers are dropping and the show contact is up in October, Opie feels they are not behind him and Jim so why not blow up the show and fuck Sirius. It truly does seem that it's in Opies best interst to be on Team Anthony. And I mean besides the 20 year history, Anthony really being the true talent, etc. I think we all agree it's obvious the show is over in October with no plans from Sirius to give them a contract (why else would they so readily fire Ant, knowing the show is now destroyed now.) So Opie absolutely wants to be a part of whatever Ant (and Jim) do next. And Ant needs Opie too. Ant absolutely needs someone to talk to.
The only negative I see is that Ant lives so far out there that they wouldn't want to drive that far everyday (for anyone who doesn't live in NYC, that ducking sucks to make that drive during the day.)

The upside would be that they could basically set their own hours so they could do the show whenever is most convenient for them. They wouldn't have to wake up at 430am. The drive might be longer but it could be done whenever they want to do it essentially.

It's really not that far. About a half hour, 45 minutes from uws to Roslyn...plus opie constantly complains about having to live in the city for work, how he'd much rather live out on the island.
