Is there any way it's possible this was the plan all along.

  1. They've had more than one (Rogan, Carolla, etc) podcaster on the show telling them they'd kill it and the current 'podcast' with basically no new content is doing well.

  2. It's not been a secret that they aren't happy where they are and the company has treated them like dog shit for years.

  3. They've really ramped up the fake apology/getting fired for hurting peoples feelings talk over the last few months.

  4. The Boston firing was planned, though they did have something lined up already.

  5. The timing means Ant has a few months to figure things out before Opie and Jim join him. Assuming he gets paid till then it's amazing.

Long shot conspiracy? Maybe, but if part of its true they're geniuses.

The fact that they were talking about apologies constantly before this happened is quite the coincidence, but I don't think they did this one purpose. Thermite paint, HAARP.

No

They're a few months removed from being out of there contracts anyway I doubt this was done on purpose. It's not like Anthony absolutely hated doing the show. He said many times he still enjoyed doing it before he was fired. Plus why would he shoot himself in the foot this way? No big media company is going to touch Anthony for awhile .

One thing that I thought about this morning which was weird... Opie gave his podcast equipment to Vos... If he was planning on teaming up with Ant for a podcast then he wouldn't need his own separate equipment from Ants.

ive been starting to lean this way. if you believe they got fired from boston on purpose than this should sound pretty reasonable as well. it would be impossible to get this much publicity for LFTC or any podcast show if they just waited till their contract ended and moved over. it makes sense for opie to stay behind and collect the last couple checks cause hes got mouths to feed.

I doubt this was on purpose and I also doubt the Boston thing was on purpose. I think that is a bit of revisionist history. It makes them sound smarter/cooler to, after the fact, say "we got fired on purpose!" especially when at the time they were shitting their pants and flipping out about how they shouldn't have been fired. Only recently did they decide to make that firing intentional. If they get back together I wouldn't be surprised if they said this was also intentional but I don't think it was.
