The thing I'll miss most about Anthony not being on the show
34 2014-07-09 by [deleted]
Outside of his humor is Anthony's knowledge on the show will be missed. Anytime they had a Neil Degrasse Tyson type guy on the show only his questions were interesting. He's the only one on the show that understood that kind of stuff and could go on and on about thigns like aeronautics. He could tell you random things about the 60's, 70's, and 80's no one else would ever know or even remember. I'll still love whatever Opie and Jimmy do but that part of the show will be missed.

Honestly, I think Jimmy is adorable when he gets all didactic on us.

But in the future people won't have emotions, I saw a documentary that hinted at that.

Don't worry, Opie graduated. He can do the heavy lifting.

Nobody. Because he didn't.

The one thing I will miss with Anthony not being on the show is.... listening to the show. The three of them work amazingly together, not to mention I refuse to give a company like sirius my money, and have cancelled my subscription. Hopefully one of you guys will link the first show back, but after that, im out.

Anthony isn't only great but he makes everyone else better. Jimmy is at his funniest when he's trading jokes with Anthony and Opie is at his best when he's ranting with Anthony. I see a lot of potentially good bits and discussions running out of steam without Ant there to keep them going.

It was always amazing when he pulled out some obscure commercial jingle from the late 60's/early 70's, and sang it perfectly.

Ill miss all his impersonations

Hoo hoo! He practically invented impersonations Robin.

This. Maybe we'll see more of Caribbean/Irish/Haitian Jimmy.

He knows a little bit about a lot of things.

I like Opie but he might get a fact wrong every now and again.

Damn. These threads are so fucking depressing. We all knew the show was going to end at some point but not like this.
1 tapittuco 2014-07-09
you and everybody else.
however, i am kinda happy that im not in deep with the show as much as other people, ant was my favorite host but i cant complain too much. i started my subscription to xm last fall primarily for o&a, ive known about them for years but damn, i feel like im late to the party (i am), and it ended so soon-i never got to experience it, ill just have to start listening to older shows on youtube.
and this is coming from a spick, ant will be missed.

He's just so well rounded, its unbelievable. Great interviewer, Loves delve into topics with both a serious and funny take on it, Not to mention his impressions are hilarious. I'm going to miss Anthony Dice Cumia. Andrew Dice gay was one of the funniest things ive ever heard.

God you're right, Jim & Opie are idiots.
3 electricalnoise 2014-07-09
Not bad for a high school dropout. The media couldn't wait to point that part out while conveniently forgetting how smart the guy actually is.
2 BlueScreenOfDer 2014-07-09
Yeah, I think that's the most infuriating thing I've read. People may not like what he said, but he's not an idiot. It's an easy way to dismiss everything he said by portraying him as a dumb redneck republican.
3 Dannyprecise 2014-07-09
Oh great, I can't wait to hear that talentless executive producer talk more on mic. Can't wait to hear more back and forth banter with Opie about Big Show eating the pizza.

I'll most miss "now, let's all make love" I think that's gone. Can anybody top those favorite lines we got?

Fuck, another great point about how different it will be - and one I never thought of. Yeah those science (and history) interviews were great with nerdy fucking Anthony. Maybe he'll bring some interesting guests on LFTC?
Eugh I want them to just have their own show together. I don't know how they'll replace the 3's dynamic.

2 DeryDerpette 2014-07-09
Anthony's stories from his youth, obscure pop-culture references, voices, brutality to callers and comedic energy in general are all things things that made me love the show.
I'll listen to the first few Jopie shoes to see what sort of a train wreck they are but, after that, I think it's time for me and the current shows to part ways.

Forget Aristotle and fuck Socrates here comes professor Anthony! ../tears :-(

Also, it's no secret that some of Anthony's knowledge and quick answers came from fans in the O&A room on PalTalk. Give Professor Jimmy Ant's laptop and the fans can continue to feed him info.
