I'll check out both. I'll pay for what ever Ant does but since I cancelled my sub last week, I'll just illegally download O&J from one of the many websites available.

I missed the registration period for Afro and now I'm locked out. I know there are other sources but it was my favorite :(

O&J>LFTC, but I'll probably listen to/watch both.

I'll be checking both out due to my love for all of them. However, as someone else said, if LFTC turns into an outlet for Ant spout off about race+guns, or anything else mega-conservative, everyday for 3-4 hours I won't be able to take much of it. Nor can I if it's just him on camera with Fox News in the background while he just sits and drinks the entire time.
But with that said I, and I hope you guys as well, will give each show a reasonable amount of time to get their bearings straight after all of this bullshit. Notice though I said reasonable, I'm not going to pay to listen/watch Ant get his shit together for 6 months, nor will I be listening to O+J stitch shows together until they finally have something decent just weeks before their contracts are up.

I'm gonna try both. I'm one of the opie fans but I'll listen to ant but please if it's too fucking conservative over there, I'm out. I hate hearing this side or that side sucks for 4 straight hrs. And from listening to Ant, I think I know where he is going. But I'll give it try.

Will definitely pay for LFTC. Will check out O&J before re-subbing... but that would also depend on what their plans are come October. I.e., is O&J just a stopgap, contract-fulfillment measure, or will they re-sign?
I do hope that they're investigating some viable/feasible way to resurrect the brand, post-contract. I love O, A & J, but they work best together, and, as hack as it may sound, the show was definitely more than the sum of its parts.

On the bright side he just did it for fun before. I think he knows he'll need to have a bit of a format if it's for real. I also hope he uploads an audio and video version as wel

What's wrong with preteen girlfriends?
2 JayEtheridge 2014-07-08
I'll give both a try. I thought the show with Opie & Jimmy the other week was fairly decent so that's hopeful. I'll probably enjoy LFTC more out of the two though.
2 mesobuku 2014-07-08
I'll pay for LFTC but will only check out O&J to see how they handle and what they say about this issue.
I could very well be wrong, but I don't see Opie and Jimmy being a viable source of quality entertainment long term. They were always best in small doses and with no Ant, it'll be too much "Serious Jimmy" and too much Opie speaking poorly for my likes.
Just one non-savages opinion... maaaahn.

Guaranteed Sam is going to be a big part of what's going on with Opie.
Fuck Sam.
LFTC all the way.

I think this just goes to show that all three are best together. Opie and anthony need eachother to continue to be successful.
The days the show was missing a piece felt weird. Opie needs ant to bring the funny. And Ant needs Opie to steer the ship. Anthony left to his own devices has the possibility of turning into a gun/race forum which is fine in small doses but if that's all LFTC is it won't keep my interest.
The three of them were the perfect combo for success. Here's hoping they find a way to reunite

Steal SXM, pay for Anthony
2 D00bage 2014-07-08
I will fucking PayPal money directly into Anthony's Borgata casino account if that helps keep free speech and 'real' comedy alive.

IMO the O&J show is dead in the water unless they do something crazy like hire Dan Soder. I'll go with option 2
2 Rondog01 2014-07-08
That would be sooooo fucking good if they were to do that. Dan Soder is great on YKWD and he is always good on O&A. I listened to his last appearance and his Nigerian voice had me Howling.
"I cahnot eeet here if that leetle girl still has er clit"
-2 AssholeinSpanish 2014-07-08
Dan Soder would be amazing.
1 GoFudgeUrself 2014-07-08
Enough of Dan Soder already. Christ almighty.

Won't pay for XMS. Bitemytorrent, bitches.
I'll gladly pay for LFTC. Hope Op and Jim see it successful and join on once their contract is over.
1 SHUT_UP_STUPID 2014-07-08
Listen to the first Opie show (or at least the first 20 mins) on youtube or whatever then LFTC ill pay him netflix prices for a daily show. maybe 3.99 for weekly show.
1 pfgposter 2014-07-08
I'll check both out; I figure I'll stick with O&J.
1 rumpumpumpum 2014-07-08
I think LFTC has the most potential, what with the video element and all, but O&J is going to be historic in a sense. I would want to hear a sample of LFTC before I plunk my cash down. If it becomes just a conservative talk podcast or interview show I'm out. I want comedy, not politics or celebrities promoting themselves.
1 Iosif_Stalin 2014-07-08
Audible and any generic Podcast app, and I'm set.
1 Diabolicalhatersclub 2014-07-08
Ant without jim will never be as funny. Jim any day of the week

BOTH
1 onemancrimespree 2014-07-08
I'm going to wait and see what LFTC is like before I decide to pay for it. If it's just him getting drunk like it has been, I'll probably pass. If it's him actually doing a show, I would buy it.
I'm also not a SXM subscriber.
1 andrewsj1 2014-07-08
The question is, Will Opie and Jim be done in Oct. I'm thinking def.
1 FUCaseyK 2014-07-08
I'll try listen to both. Unless one of them is really bad I'll tune into both. I'm still hoping they'll eventually reunited and I won't have to choose.
-2 Gremmel 2014-07-08
LFTC. I'm a socialist pig from Sweden who despise guns but there's no way I'm listening to Opie and Jimmy lament that they are "under contract" when they could just as easily get fired and continue the show somewhere else. People who take money > friends makes me wanna shoot someone.
2 flitterio 2014-07-08
Getting fired as Ant did may be way less costly than Opie/Jimmy breaching their contract. If they just stopped coming to work, they may have to pay SXM a big chunk of a year's salary. Major pain. They also can't quit (that would just be breach of contract). They may have buyout options, but those could be just as painful as breach of contract, because when the amounts were negotiated it was probably assumed a new employer would be paying for the buyout (not O&J personally).
1 Gremmel 2014-07-08
Or just tweet "Niggers be crazy!" and get fired.
