O&A "Super Fans" are a bunch of self-destructive dopes. Examples inside from today's protest.

It's obvious the Sirius XM protest was a failure based off attendance numbers alone. However, the asshole superfans that did show-up certainly didn't help the cause one bit:
Exhibit 1 - A protestor is proudly wearing a Live From The Compound swastika T-shirt. Smart move, asshole. This really proves how tolerant Anthony is. PHOTO: https://twitter.com/OandAProtest/status/486130504069316608
Exhibit 2 - O&A regular and superfan bobo is smashing New York Mets noisemakers while shouting gay slurs in front of the Sirius building - VIDEO: http://telly.com/1MPDVSG
Exhibit 3 - Dummy with the swastika T-Shirt is holding the sign high and mighty for all to see. Oh wait.. VIDEO: http://telly.com/1MPDQMX
Bunch of dopes. Downright embarrassing.

The protester in the Nazi shirt and the bobo thing are only making SiriusXM more confident in their decision.

The 'smart' fans showed how they felt by speaking with their wallet and cancelling SXM. This has definitely had an impact however I never believed it would bring back Ant. It was just a way to say 'fuck you too.'
And there's no way to avoid a couple retards standing outside of the building but my guess is the SXM higher ups don't even know they're out there. I'm sure they'll be the butt of many jokes when the show comes back in some capacity.
I've been listening for a long time and this not the first time I've seen them/Anthony get fired. I know they love what they do and would especially love to do it on their own terms. This may be their opportunity. We shall see.
3 [deleted] 2014-07-07
Him wearing the LFTC "nazi" shirt doesn't help, but it's probably more of a big deal that the logo is from Live From The Compound...
I mean if someone wants to point out racism by Ant it's probably a bigger deal that he used that logo than the fact that some idiot wore it on a shirt.
48 S85 2014-07-07
Well, it's Bobo, so what do you expect? From his Wiki. "Bobo is, by his own estimation, 25% retarded. This figure may be inaccurate, however, as he also believes the average American makes $500 a year. Adjusting for Bobo math, this would make him 1600% retarded, a more likely estimate. "

Not a single O&A fan is surprised.

The problem with any protest is that it only draws the people that have nothing better to do, there's a reason Occupy was such a failure, no one thinks protesting matters.
I don't understand the purpose of it anyway, do fans really want Ant back on that shitty platform that has never supported the show anyway? I'm quite thrilled it ended this way, a little bit of controversy to start self-broadcasting never hurt anyone.
11 PhilipeNegro 2014-07-07
It's not like we can all take a Monday off to spread Tinkle Lord pics in the city, sorry.

4 [deleted] 2014-07-07
They all already hate you.
38 omninode 2014-07-07
This is the sad truth of the O&A show: many of their dedicated listeners are idiots and bigots, because they encourage those kinds of people. I guess you get the fans you deserve.
34 mintwaltman 2014-07-07

2 roddypeeper 2014-07-07
or the ones who think Anthony's obsession with ghetto black culture isn't just a symptom of his closeted desire to suck a big black dick.
-9 [deleted] 2014-07-07
It was groundbreaking. No one else is saying this kind of shit. His take on those issues are one of a kind. Especially as far as a comedy show. Most opinion shows that try to keep it funny have very liberal leanings.
11 DiscoInferiorityComp 2014-07-07
So, in other words, "No one else employs seemingly overt racists as on-air talent!"
0 Roy_G_Biv 2014-07-07

Every time I've seen it attempted, it seemed like a cynical 'getting back at the left for John Stewart' and didn't have any wit. Just the same empty crowd pandering shit you see at rallies.
I'd like to see it too. I'm starting to believe there's something in people's backgrounds that make good comedians generally liberal. Just look at what an unfunny turd Dennis Miller turned into after 9/11.
Are there any good conservative comedians who do political stuff and don't just come off like cuntbag Ann Coulter?
The closest thing I have right now is Stewart occasionally attacking Obama from kinda libertarian vectors about spying.

I have cringed so much this morning. Sam looked so uncomfortable in the video of him, and he's a guy who spends his weekends at independent wrestling shows.

24 krbin 2014-07-07
Remember when that Chic-fil-a thing happened with the CEO was giving all the money to those anti-homo organizations and all the homos were upset? I supported Chic-fil-a, just because I think people should be allowed to voice unpopular opinions without society losing its shit (yes, including not getting fired, before the "You don't understand the 1st Amendment" police show up).
About halfway through, I realized most people were supporting Chic-fil-a because they hated gay people. They weren't cultural libertarians like me, they just wanted to support the man who made the homos angry.
I'm starting to get the vibe that most of the people who support Ant are doing it just because they hate black people.
-1 [deleted] 2014-07-07
Well I don't want any blocks around my fried chicken!
-6 Ignatius_Oh_Reilly 2014-07-07
I don't get that vibe at all.
It's a show we all find funny, we like non PC, unfiltered humor and we're protesting it's removal over a guy who said some stuff that wasn't the best he could have, but taken out of out of context, proportion, spun after being assaulted and fired for BS Mickey Mouse reasons.
If Patrice was alive and permanently banned from the show by siruis you'd see the same reaction.
-6 shameofyou 2014-07-07
Racism is most civilized and honest because it recognizes the innate differences that exist and should exist. People will always group together on perceived similarities. I challenge you to be honest about your association with others outside your skin pigment and belief system and I guarantee the answer will always be the same... incidental.
-7 erockarmy 2014-07-07
People who don't understand the concept of free speech: "Uhhh! It's totally OK to shut someone down by bullying as long as you're not the gubbermint! Uhhh!!"
-1 Slippery_Slope_Guy 2014-07-07
I know it's not exactly a one-to-one comparison, but I wonder if these people would have made the same argument if a black person was fired for speaking out against segregation back in the day.

19 MrFMF 2014-07-07
get ready for the down votes from all the knuckle draggers you are just trying to help and say, for once, is think and act like a professional adults and not like pests. a swastika LFTC shirt and bobo doesnt help the cause and only allows the outsider world to point and say "see, this is what he inspires"
16 DiscoInferiorityComp 2014-07-07
Same people are posting racist memes to Gawker. Surely this will help our cause!
14 MrFMF 2014-07-07
unreal the level of stupidity of this base.
15 DiscoInferiorityComp 2014-07-07
I truly think the show would have been twice as popular if they'd just purged these dolts from their fanbase. Tough to tell your friends about your favorite radio show when you're embarrassed to be lumped in with their fans.
16 DiscoInferiorityComp 2014-07-07
"It's great! As a warning, one of them is kind of racist--well, it's kind of an on-air character and everyone bashes him for his opinions, so it's all very nuanced... They have great comedian guests...Who's that guy with the swastika shirt yelling "chimp attack", you ask? Nevermind him..."
7 goshdarnyou 2014-07-07
yeah honestly, though ant definitely has funny moments, he's always been my least favorite part of the show. maybe this will get the actually racist fans to go away and listen to ant's podcast, and opie and jim can continue with a funny show without having to pause and make time for ant to say hateful/ignorant shit every other show.
10 gored_matador 2014-07-07
I eventually stopped telling people that I listened to the show, just because of the looks I'd get. I'm an adult with a degree and a real career - there comes a point where being lumped into the same category as these idiot fans is just embarrassing, and something I'd rather avoid.
As I grew up, O&A became more and more a guilty pleasure and something I went out of my way to hide from other people.
4 omninode 2014-07-07
I'm in the same boat. I don't try to talk to my friends about the show because I know the general public only knows O&A for their dumb sex pranks and for bullying homeless people. Now I guess they're also known for racism. So that's great.
3 He11razor 2014-07-07

1 [deleted] 2014-07-07

2 DiscoInferiorityComp 2014-07-07
In fairness, I thought the cause was "let's make our favorite radio host even more unemployable"
7 [deleted] 2014-07-07
I agree that was an inappropriate time to wear that shirt but we can't put the blame for that solely on that dude. I mean Anthony did sell those shirts...If he didn't want any connection to naziism he shouldn't have distributed a logo that looks like a swastika.
3 MrFMF 2014-07-07
i blame the moron cause he should know better. you want to make impression you look like an adult and they will take you more serious. he looks like a boob and a fool and that is how this came off.
2 HindleMcCrindleberry 2014-07-07
What is up with that shirt, it's not quite a swastika but it certainly resembles one. I'm assuming that's just something this guy had made and isn't endorsed by Ant?... I hope...
7 MrFMF 2014-07-07
no, those are LFTC shirts. so it's ant's logo. great move there

3 He11razor 2014-07-07
That's a scary thought.
16 BruceMittman 2014-07-07
Well that's the major positive thing that comes from it. I just know for 14 years I considered myself a fan of the show. My definition of fan may differ from yours, but it is what it is. The last ten of those years having people tell me this is what a real fan is. Like I was obligated to go out and do all that stupid shit. Go blow an air horn in a guy's ear to show how much you love the show. Boo Mike Birbiglia. Hate these people because we hate them. Not my style. Even this past week. "If you are a real fan you'll cancel" Fuck you. A. People I'm close to work at Sirius, and B. I still listen to Ron and Fez. The main thing this show ending that will be good is finally this Borg unit of a fucking fan base will have to find something else to do. No disrespect to any of you but I got sick of that mob mentality bullshit in 2005. Like I have to have people tell me what to do to be a fan of a radio show.
8 FancyAndImportantMan 2014-07-07
I thought I was the only one feeling like shit for not cancelling Sirius. I just go a unit a couple weeks ago, a gift from my dad. He's paying for he service and it's not even costing me a dime. Furthermore, I don't have the ability to play my phone through my car speakers, so there goes Pandora and the like. And I like their classic rock stations. I need something to listen to on those long drives.
Great post.
3 BruceMittman 2014-07-07
I'll put it this way, all of us as fans feel a loyalty to the show, and Ant through all of this. And I believe that there's no one size fits all way to deal with it. You can be just as supportive and vocal about how you feel and not ruin a perfectly good gift. Practicality gets lost in the heat of the moment. Do what works best for you.
3 JayRizzo03 2014-07-07
It's not just you. O&A was the main reason I had Sirius, but now I'm a fan of the music channels and of course Ron and Fez. Plus I want to hear Opie and Jimmy next Monday.
If the O&A podcast becomes a reality, I'll gladly show my support monetarily.

I get what you're saying but I think it's unlikely SXM is going to reverse their decision at this point. Maybe if they suspended Anthony pending a discussion (along with the fallout from cancelled subscriptions, and structured, respectful, coherent complaints from fans of the show) whether they should fire him or keep him - maybe. But at his point, the decision to terminate his contract came from the very people that would actually entertain the idea of keeping him employed. Its over at this point. Opie just posted this BTW: https://twitter.com/OpieRadio/status/486206028061884416

10 hobo_clown 2014-07-07
Yes. It's also a swastika.
-6 willtel76 2014-07-07
No, it isn't.
Fucking idiots...
9 He11razor 2014-07-07
It looks pretty damn close to a swastika.
-1 willtel76 2014-07-07
It certainly is close but it isn't a swastika. We all know it is supposed to remind of us of one and it does but it isn't one.
Kinda like Bailey Jay almost looks like a chick but with one small difference.

That would be the letter E.

1 trade-in 2014-07-07
I already knew. Just thought it was hilarious for it to be confirmed on video.
1 Moh7 2014-07-07

Exhibit 1 - How tolerant Ant is holds no water in any argument i've heard so far. and Ant ISN'T tolerant. Why try to pass it off as if he is? Would you like the fans to try to "pull a fast one" on management and trick them into thinking Ant is a saint and hire him back? Dirty pool, mister. Dirty pool.
Exhibit 2 - You are surprised that Bobo did some stupid shit? that surprised you? Really? Are you and Bobo missing the same chromosome?
Exhibit 3 - this one is a stretch to begin with, what the fuck are you trying to say? the guy didn't hold his sign high enough??
Downright embarrassing, yes absolutely. But you should be embarrassed by this post. Asshat

People who don't understand the concept of free speech: "Uhhh! It's totally OK to shut someone down by bullying as long as you're not the gubbermint! Uhhh!!"
-6 willtel76 2014-07-07
No, it isn't.
Fucking idiots...

Racism is most civilized and honest because it recognizes the innate differences that exist and should exist. People will always group together on perceived similarities. I challenge you to be honest about your association with others outside your skin pigment and belief system and I guarantee the answer will always be the same... incidental.
2 SuperBicycleTony 2014-07-07
Very difficult to do that and be funny/good.
2 mintwaltman 2014-07-07
I think Fox News has tried a few times to do this.
