Anthony on "Hood Mentality". Probably his most sincere comments on race vs culture.

I get what you're saying. But there's almost a connotation that goes with it. I'll give full disclosure. I am part Sicilian and black. Yes, A Bronx Tale is real. So I feel comfortable addressing it because I've seen it firsthand. My thing is I despise "thug culture" I was pretty much a nerd growing up. But I worked my ass off, went to school, got a degree and do ok for myself. But whenever some shit happens on the news I have to get thrown right back into that category. Like doing all the right things is never good enough. No matter how excellent I live my life I'm still the evil one.

There's a direct correlation between Ant's drunkenness and his racism. He's not pissed here so is being very reasonable and understanding.

Here's what I want to know though. Why is it always black people are hood and ghetto and guilty of crimes? It's not prevailing. But when people like Anthony purport this it's taken as gospel. Seriously, what is it? Are you guys scared of blacks or something? Do they scare you? I always find it funny when an Italian chastises other people about crime.

He just quotes the FBI crime statistics.
