"big fan, and think the move by Sirius stinks. Another sad day for personality radio. And this isn't broadcast being scared, it's terrestrial"
Haha that gave me the image of Don lying face down on his keyboard. If you go through his tweets, you will see that he finished his though in the next tweet and had more to say, because twitter has the 140 character limit.
I grew up in DC, loved Don & Mike when they were on. This couldn't make me happier.
As for the beef, Don & Mike moved from afternoons to middays so they could be sold in a syndicated package along with Stern and O&A as I recall, kind of a "guy talk" super show lineup that landed them in Philly and NYC and O&A in DC. They felt O&A were kind of shitting all over them and hurting their ability to get a foothold in NYC (which, honestly, they were), and general ugliness ensued. Once Sex For Sam went down and O&A were gone, they went back to afternoons in DC and that was about it.
It was a typical radio beef, nothing personal. When Don's wife died, O&A took the respectful route and didn't bust his balls like a lot of the dumber NY fans were calling for on wackbag. The whole thing was just business.
This made me happy, too. The first time I heard O&A was through Don and Mike when they called each other up live in-studio shortly before O&A were syndicated to WJFK. I'll always respect and appreciate Don for getting me into talk radio in the first place.
There use to be a show called 'the don and mike show' it was a lighter style of 'shock jock'. I remember them from when i was a kid my dad would listen. Pretty funny from what i remember. No idea what the beef was about
All the support ant can get helps but I do believe that Don Geronimo is an inconsistent douche. Don almost got a sacramento radio show thrown off the air for making light of the boston marathon bombing. Not sure if his intent was to get the Rob Arnie and Dawn show shitcanned but he seemed rather pleased when the show was ultimately suspended. Still good to see radio personalities standing up for each other.

We had them for a very short time in the late 90s. Was not impressed.
Why did that tweet end like the Sopranos?

Would've been pretty easy for him to just not comment, but to show support was nice.
