Anyone else think Ant did this on purpose?

Ant even mentioned on the last live show that taking pictures of some black guy in time square almost got him into trouble. They had a meeting that day with the big wigs at Sirius. Maybe it's possible they told him to tone down the race talk.

Both Opie and Anthony are fed up with they're treatment from Sirius. Contract negotiations are coming up, and even though every year I worry they won't renew, maybe this time they weren't going to. So why not end with some controversy? They know the climate we are living in, where every mention of race ends in an apology.

My theory is they were done, and they knew how to end it. I just want to thank them all for 10 awesome years in my life, and for having the balls to always say what's on their minds. I think Ant knows exactly what he's doing and they were fed up. Fuck Sirius.

No, this is a completely revolutionary observation that no one has made yet, congrats.

Not a twitterer so from your sarcasm I gather others think this too. Good to know.

A bunch of the posts from the past few days have been about how they might've blown up their spot on purpose.

It's asinine to destroy your general media reputation as a "plan". This isn't like Sex for Sam or the Mayor is dead....this is Anthony bringing his racism and anger issues to a national level/exposure. The guy is a full blown racist....right down to the bell he rings every time someone says the word "monkey". It's NOT funny and he DOES think that black people are sub human.

Maybe fans who agree with his "numbers" are ok with his opinions on the "community", but if Anthony Cumia is involved with a new show, the rotation of celebs who will be friends of the show just got smaller.

If Anthony thought he was 100% correct in his behavior past and present, he would have left all of his tweets on the record. Deleting them makes it harder for anyone who wants to convict him on his drunken public record as a racist, but I'd bet that there is someone out there documenting all of his past views. And it is not a pretty picture.

I say all this as a fan of his humor, but this part of his act has never been funny.

I can agree the whole race issue stopped being funny years ago, and yea I do believe he is a full blown racist. I do believe people should have the right to voice their opinions without the fear of being fired, no matter what the other repercussions may be. That's something the boys have fought for their entire careers.

Ant doesn't care what celebrities he's lost for his show. He viewed interviews as a chore. I'm still not convinced this wasn't intentional. We'll see where this leads.

We all have the right to voice an opinion. But that includes companies who think their hosts shouldn't be overt racists.

I disagree that Anthony viewed interviews as a chore. He was very good at asking questions and entirely professional when doing it.

Sure the boys talked some shit before it was some interview they weren't thrilled about, but don't let that cloud his overall enthusiasm. Anthony more times than not was all in and excited to talk to celebs.

New listener, I assume. Lol at ant's enthusiasm for celebrity interviews. We'll have to agree to disagree on that one.

And helps them move on to the next adventure

look who hasnt read the other posts this weekend.

Well fuck and I made a post and everything. Don't I feel stupid.
