13 2014-07-06 by [deleted]
It's pretty easy, fully subscribe to SXM today, enter your credit card information and everything.
Tomorrow call in to cancel because you found out Anthony was fired.
Credit care transaction will be cancelled and you will be refunded while adding to the list of "cancelled because of Anthony firing".
Hope y'all do this, best way to make your voices heard is through the pocket books.
Edit:ONLY REGISTER FOR A MONTH OF SERVICE
You may be charged for anything over a year.

Someone at SXM will spin it and go "look at how many new subscriptions we got since firing him".

This really seems like a terrible idea. As people have said, XM could spin this as new subscribers as a result of the firing, and that's if they care at all.

You'll be refunded a prorated amount. Even if it only nets them a dollar, that's still 100 cents more than they deserve.

The 30 day trial doesn't charge and still requires credit card info (I guess the 14 day trial just asks for email and address).

Pretty sure the 30 day trial, as long as it requires a credit card, still "charges". You use say, 1 day's worth, and you get charged whatever full cost is divided by 30 days. Cell phone companies with "free trials" do the same thing. You pay for what you use, and get back whatever you didn't during the trial period.

They state you will be charged in 30 days and if you don't want to be charged you must call and cancel by that date.

I believe you only get charged after 30 days and if you sign up for a plan longer then a year.

That's what I got from it.

spending three hours on the phone to India and then another three hours to cancel does not sound appealing.

It takes a few minutes to sign up online.
Yea you'll have to deal with customer support but if you love the show then suck it up. It's better then doing nothing.
