Shame this happened just as O&A were gaining momentum over the past year(s) as the likely best successors to Howard ...

I think more and more people (like me) were getting fed up with Howard's incredibly low work hours (and AGT plugs) and were checking out the show over the past 1 to 3 years. And when they heard Patrice or other great bits (many by Ant), they were getting hooked.

They were actually positioned well as the best alternative, and basically Ant went and ffed it up (I do blame Sirius for a horrible cave in, but his racial (and gun) rants were kind of bound to catch up to him sooner or later in today's world). Or some scandal with an 18ish year old girl or something might have done him in, as well.

I think Op cashed out when they went back to doing satellite only. He was hard into being back on terrestrial and satellite and took it harder than anybody else. Since 2010 I think they had one mission. Do the show, gain fuck you money and not get fired.

He still says he likes some of the notoriously worst parts of the terrestrial show.

Themed days of the week for instance. Ugh

He liked the massive audience that terrestrial radio brought. Look at their recent live shows and the small crowds. Then look back when they had tens of thousands show up for the Traveling Virus Comedy Tour and other live events. They'd get be lucky to get a few hundred today.
