Wouldn't Opie have said something to that effect if this were true? Even Jimmy's tweet is very ambiguous about what will happen.

Because if Opie said "I'm going to do a tribute to Anthony on Monday!" the suits would stop it. If Opie and Jimmy lay low and say they will behave themselves, they can then go on air and say whatever they want. Their best strategy is to remain silent

They have used this tactic pretty much every time this goes down, and it proves their point every time- the suits are totally clueless as to what actually goes on.

Maybe, but if you've listened long enough you know they have each other's backs when push comes to shove. They are a team and they've been through far worse than this.

They've been talking about podcasting and doing things on their own for a while, so I'm not really worried about the show ending. Their new venture clearly won't be as lucrative but I don't think they really care about making max dollars anymore, they have millions in the bank.

Im really hoping they arent on a gag order for on air. Because that is pretty much all anyone will want to talk about.

The show and channel are done. They only had a few more months on the contract so Sirius will buy them out for the remainder. Based on Sabean's firing and the leaked live read rates my guess is that Liberty Media would not have resigned them in October anyway. Certainly not at their current salaries.
