Up vote if you would subscribe to a daily Opie & Anthony podcast costing between $100 - $200 per year.

My only concern is that they're would be no live element for cars and the location. SiriusXM was good for getting celebs coming through the halls everyday promoting crap. They could have a studio in Long Island and have call-ins like The Dan Patrick Show. Although this dynamic doesn't come close the in-studio guests.

$5 a month absolute maximum.

Yep. The rest will have to come from ads, paid archive downloads, and live shows. It's doable, but it won't make them the bucks they were making at SXM, but they might just prefer the freedom it gives them.

Great, great point.

200 dollars a year is insanity. That isn't too off from what you'd pay for internet for half of the year, which has archived 20 years of their content and then carries every rival radio show and podcast and Youtube channel. I'd go between 5 and 8 dollars a months.

It would make sense to let the people listen to the shows for free and and charge for the visual element X$/month

No, you got better podcasts like the joe rogan experience for free, why the fuck would i pay.

It's like everyone's forgotten how much there was to dislike about the show before this whole mess. Of course there's a lot of good radio they've done and most of the show was great, but it was getting worse and worse recently. Opie is still an unfunny douche, Jim is still doing the same shtick which is getting tiresome and Ant's racism isn't about humour anymore, and more about genuine anger.

Just because Anthony is fired, it doesn't change the fact that the show is a shadow of it's former self. 200 Dollars a year is insane also.

No .. Because you would not get the content, guests. It would be terrible. No one would come in and associate themselves now. Sorry guys but its done.

Not true. This publicity is a blessing and a new platform will provide the motivation for opie to get the moving like it was 2004

Plenty of podcasts have famous guests on week after week. Maron, Rogan, Mohr, etc. Jay Mohr does the show from his garage and the guests drive out to his house.

I wouldn't pay 10 bucks a year to hear their terrible, awkward phoners
