Thinking of a podcast... How much work goes on 'behind the scenes'? And who's going to pay for that?

Do you think Opie, Anthony or Jimmy would foot the salary of Sam/ Erock? Do you think they'd be just as good without the 'back of the house'?

I don't see any Opie involvement in a compound show and I'm kind of surprised that anyone else actually does.

First they'd have to figure out how to get the equipment into the city

Well the biggest thing is whether or not Club Soda will drive G.H. to the compound.

GH has said he is sick of living in the city, but he does it because of the short commute. If the show is truly over, maybe he'd want to move back to Long Island anyway.

everything is all fucked up, man.

Hell no they won't foot the bill for those assclowns. Erik will be fine, he's got a legitimate resume and can get another job in the radio business, at SXM or elsewhere. Sam, I don't know. I'd be worried if I was Sam.

But Ant doesn't need them to run a video podcast from his house, or even if they rent some office space somewhere to do a show from.

The way I see it is, they both said how utterly bored they were for the couple of years they were off the air. They are both rich already. I don't think it's out of the question that they would do a weekly or maybe even daily show just for fun. And if they generate just enough money to pay for the equipment and maybe one "behind the scenes" person, that's enough to keep them going for at least a little while.

And then, who knows? Maybe a TV gig on a small alternative network, it worked for Tom Green and he turned his "Tom Green's House Tonight" into a weekly AXS TV show.

Well erock and sam are sxm employees, not contractors. That's not to be said they can't still be fired. Sam def doesn have the most to lose. Without O and A fans forgetting to change the channel his audience will be nothing. Whoo kid and Nicole will ditch him for their usual audience.

Anthony has shown that he will at least put some effort into a podcast. His LFTC shows are proof of that.

I don't think Opie would do it if he had to be heavily involved in the business side of things. I think he just wants to be a company man.

SIrius was a shitty company that paid them well. That's all. At some point in your career you have to be willing to trade earning potential for happiness. Remember how nice those shows in Montreal were? Rogan,Maron,Carolla seem to be getting on,and they did not have either the following or people paying a monthly fee to listen to them.
But I see LFTC as a side show, with them doing a morning show in New York. There are plenty of locations now that so many radio stations have gone bust,or,better yet,get a club like Caroline's to host them for free. They get the publicity and the audience tickets. They have nothing to loose since they're empty at that time of day.
