Did Opie and Anthony not talk about Tim Sabean's fireing? What's up with that?

I know Opie did on his twitter. But since they came back nuffen, unless I missed it.
Conpiracy theory. Who got to them and got them to shut up about it?

They may have been told to not discuss it. Typical corporate bullshit, because Sabean could sue if they misrepresent what happened.
And they had to sit still and take it. It was among the suits. It was real greaseball shit.

They told Sabean they were going to "make him." O&A were so excited, you would have thought THEY were being made.

Opie: Hey what happened to Sabean?
SiriusXM: Well we had a problem, and he's gone
Opie: Whataya mean he's gone?
SiriusXM: Ah you know, he's gone, and there's nothing we could do

Anthony called in sick the next two days. Opie took off also the next day and both don't work Fridays anymore. The first time they could talk about it was yesterday. Six days after the firing. It's old news now.

Probably caught violating a drug policy or fired in a way where his career would be ruined if it was honestly discussed.
I knew a guy who worked for the New York Times and he was a cokehead and the company paid for his rehab, which was done very quietly. When he relapsed and was caught (piss test), they shitcanned him.

It must be something they don't want to get sued for, because they talked about the Radio Wizard to no end after he was fired.
1 hoogityboogitiesRIP 2014-07-01
Radio Wizard wasn't fired dude, reassigned
1 WiretapStudios 2014-07-01
Ahh, I felt like he was "fired" from the show because he wasn't a good fit though.

Radio and TV stations buy insurance that covers them in the case of a lawsuit. For instance, if Don Imus was sued over his 'nappy headed ho' comment, Imus wouldn't pay the lawsuit; the insurance company would.
The insurance is very expensive, and so are lawsuits.
The reason that they're not talking about Sabean is likely to avoid a lawsuit.

One thing opie can have credit for is sporting a very cavalier attitude towards his superiors. The rest clam up quick when opie is destroying the remnants of his career.
