Has it always been that way though? When she went into the Navy, women were required to have higher ASVAB (enlistment test) scores then men.

Why are women required to have a higher ASVAB?

They were at one time. Not sure about today.

When Di went in, women weren't sent to the fleet "undesignated" (which means sent to do shit work wherever needed because you're dumb as fuck and you receive no schooling). Less than 50% of the "rates" (Navy term for job fields) were open to women at that time. Personnel "yeomen" jobs, communications/radioman, some air and electrical work, and hospital corpsman were fields open to women, with school requiring higher ASVAB scores to qualify. Don't quote me on the number (it's been a while since my research), but women at that time needed to score at least a 50 to enlist but men needed a minimum of 32. ASVAB is not necessarily an IQ test, but a 50 on the ASVAB is consider by some to be about a 100 IQ. When she enlisted it was also a force reduction period, so they weren't taking trash, especially when it comes to women.

At that time, the Navy put forth much effort to improve the careers of female sailors. They wanted each woman to be a success.

But of course they did nothing to prevent or treat military sexual trauma, so you had large groups of women with untreated PTSD who most likely went AWOL or used a pregnancy to get discharged. Di's dishonorable discharge was upgraded via Board. That's not an easy feat. I believe she was a victim of military sexual trauma (even today 1/3rd of the women in the military are sexually assaulted) and that's how her discharge was upgraded. Her alcoholism screams MST-PTSD.

It's pretty obvious that she's has a serious problem with substances. She has no desire to get any help or stop. She was homeless because of it for fucks sake.

She was homeless for a while and living on the streets and even in the tunnels. Remember when she'd call in when she was shacked up with "The Romeo Of The Railroad" now and again?

"Ok, now wait wait wait, hang on a second. Alright...."

I wish they'ed get Bob Kelly in the studio and Lady Di would pull a Pat from Moonachie and spread those ass cheeks wide open right next to his face. I have a feeling that Bob wouldn't be the only one puking.

She had a good job at budweiser. She, being the drunk she is, was possibly stealing beer or drinking on the job. I worked at a distributor. I know the forklift drivers drank every day. Eventually they got sick of all the missing beer and wine and shut us down and moved. It was a hard hit for her getting fired and she never recovered. Seen this happen many times. She will not recover. She will die of alcoholism.

I think she lucked into her job at the brewery untill she fucked that up. Saw what life could be like living off unemployment and liked it. Rode that train (lol) till that ran out, became homeless, found Bill and can now live that unemployment lifestyle with Bill enabling it.

Since she decided to take up the ass on a regular basis during the 80s, while Opie and Anthony were just children of aforementioned decade.
