Has Patrice ever bombed?
3 2014-06-24 by CAKEISBASED
I've never heard Patrice fully bomb once, or at least get called on it.
Even the few times I've heard him say a joke that doesn't get laughs, he laughs loudly and either he or someone else makes another joke and no one addresses it. It was almost like they were afraid to call him on any possible bombs.
Does anyone know a time where Patrice fully bombs and someone calls him on it?

During the Mel Gibson saga D-boi made a parody with Mel talking to Terry Schiavo. Patrice goes "WAIT, what was she doin' talking on the phone in the first place?" and Jimmy says "OHHH literal Patrice!".

i think it was more fear of him trashing them back twice as hard, than fear of physical harm, even though he was like 6'5''

Yeah, that's the main thing I notice. It's definitely because of intimidation, and I'm not surprised after some of the verbal rapes he's commited on people who try to trash him and argue with him. Bill Burr even mentioned on the memorial show that Patrice was the only one in their circle of friends that never got a full trashing.

If there's one thing Patrice perfected it was destroying people verbally. Not even destroying. Deconstructing. Anyone can break another human to pieces, Patrice could intricately take apart every facet of their statement. He has bombed, though, and they've made it known.

I highly doubt they were intimidated by him.

I remember one time he was calling in and telling some long-winded story and he (fairly) got a Homer boring.

during the Norton Roast, Patrice was giving Colin some shit and called him 'Captain Arthritis' and there was a slight pause and norton just calming goes "captain arthritis?" and patrice cuts him off and goes "shuuuuut uppp" and starts with his huge laughter

Wasn't there a time he bombed doing a call in for another show and then him and Burr got in a fight?

he bombed like a bitch.
Then tried to call Bill out for not defending him.If the roles were reversed Burr , or anyone for that matter, would have been smashed. It was a great bit.

The only really cringey bomb I can think of was on one of the comedy central roasts (I think it was Denis leary). In one of the deleted scenes he came out pretending to be Ruben Studdard. It didn't work and he had no confidence. He actually said something along the lines of "So this is it? This is my career."
It wasn't even funny, you just felt bad for him.

I never heard him bomb to the point of getting goofed on, but on a couple of occasions when there was a woman in the studio when he arrived he tried his usual, "I'm better than any woman" lines and they failed. I think Patrice was brilliant about gender differences, but a few times he fell flat when he went on the offensive right at the initial meeting. The audience felt sympathy for the women and Patrice just sounded angry instead of funny.
