I kind of agree with the guy. Only three horses in the Belmont raced in all three races. It's rare for a race horse to run three races in such a short time period (not to mention three of the longest races all year). But on the other hand, all the other Triple Crown winners faced the same odds. I see his point though.
I agree, but the way he lashed out was classless. All this time he'd been embracing the fandom but when his horse loses he just whines and complains on TV. He was partially right...but I heard today on the radio that they've been doing this forever, even in the 70's. The real problem is the 3 races in 5 weeks.
None of us will ever see a TC until they change the rules and pace out the races. There's just too much going against the favorite at Belmont; the long track, the amount of races in such a short span, and the other horses / trainers actively trying to play spoiler.

We won't see a TC winner because horses are being bred for pure speed over strength, like the Secretariat's and Man O War's were.

Your absolutely right. He wasn't necessarily wrong, but definitely expressed his opinion at the wrong time.
