ZERO. Why can't the guys and the staff at least do some type of bare-minimum show prep with a schedule?
Back in the WNEW days, they would give a quick rundown of guests, topics, and PREPARED bits. They're excuse these days is that the show is a "casual hang" and doesn't need it.
Now, sleepy Op and drowsy Ant just do the equivalent of disinterested, meandering, dull small talk that you can find around any shitty office coffee pot in the morning.
Couple of geriatrics bitching about the office and their home lives. Great escapism and gripping entertainment, fellas.

The less opie is doing the better it is for the show. Last thing we need is opie actively trying to come up with good ideas.

What? Opies ideas are great. How about when he tried to convince ant that the staff should have a fart off. All preparing by eating horrible foods the night before and then farting in the studio. The last one left would be the winner. Great bit, I think Ant responded with "Um no I'm not going to do that"

You really sound like you're describing a completely different show than the one I'm listening to. If you really feel this way about the show, maybe it has passed you by. Plenty of us still enjoy it.

If Opie is actually not full of shit for once and they really aren't going to resign then they could just be saying fuck it. That's the only logical reason why. They have 3 hosts, 2 producers? and a few other peripheral guys, how can they have so little to fill the show?

This is how I feel. They do a lot more prep than they want us to think. Someone is putting together and guests and news stories. They always have information on the guests compiled.
