I don't compare war lightly, and I definitely wasn't comparing baseball to war, but hockey is the closest sport to warfare on Earth; players literally sacrifice life and limb to play that game, and if you understood that you would understand how stupid it is to trivialize it.

They play on the hardest terrain on Earth, with blades on their feet, wielding weapons, getting shot at by one of the hardest objects that man can manufacture, while deliberately trying to injure each other with all these things. Players get life threatening injuries every day; there's players who are severely brain damaged, paraplegics, quadriplegics and dead from on-ice injuries. And I didn't say "almost warfare", I said "closest sport to warfare," which I don't see how you could deny.
