Why is Louis C.K still invited back?

Let me just preface this by saying yes, I realize he is a huge star and it creates buzz for the show. I just think he was extremely disloyal to O+A by doing Sterns show. I understand that Louis grew up listening to stern, and they boys have made it clear to all comics that they can do any radio show they want. But O+A gave Louis a break when no one else would. Where was Howard Stern when Louis was doing serious time on the O+A show? Granted he was giving they guys good radio in exchange for the opportunity, but introducing him to such a large audience certainly helped his career along. Yes he still comes in when he has something to plug, and yes he puts Jimmy in his show. I just think the right thing to do would be to give The Opie and Anthony show the exclusive interviews in return for them giving him a career jump start. It also annoys me that the guys have to justify why he doesn't come in just to hang anymore. Idk maybe my opinion is an unpopular one

The man has to do press and promote his show. He should be going on ANY and every show he can! Why must it be one or the other in people's eyes?

By that logic, Jimmy shouldn't be on the show anymore for going out to LA so do all the spots he did for Leno.

Totally different circumstances with Jimmy. He isn't doing a competing radio show in basically the same time slot. Leno is also a completely different platform.

It's debatable maybe, but still close enough. Jimmy was taking time off to go and do a much bigger show with to help increase his comedic profile and gain more exposure for himself. Why'd he have to do that and not just keep doing radio with Opie and Anthony?

Regardless, you answered yourself in your post. He's trying to get a buzz and the best way to do so is to get yourself out there as much as you can. That's why you go host SNL and do both Stern and O&A and all the other talk shows you can.

It's completely different,Howard has also told ppl not to do other radio shows or you won't be "a Howard guy",and Howard couldn't have cared less about Louie before he became unbelievably famous...it's just kind of a dick move, especially when he comes in and does Howard first and for a longer time.

Isn't the whole stern/O&A rivalry bit really old and stale by now? I mean, both of those shows main draw are over their 50's. Are they really suppose to be doing this little kid dick measuring contest stuff? And even if the two don't like each other, why deny good talent on the show because they went on another show?

As far as I'm aware, louie has never bad mouthed O&A on howards show, so I don't see what, besides perpetuating a stupid bit, would be the reason to not have louie on.

He also put them in his show, and has said a bunch of times that he's a fan of both shows. I would expect most, if not all of the regular comedians to do Stern if asked. It's not their fight and I think OnA know that.

Patrice rejected Stern

and his career went nowhere until he died.

Glad to hear it. Makes me love him even more.

Patrice was on Stern though.

While he doesnt appear as much as we'd/theyd like, he still appears much more than other guests who have grown in popularity.

He was a successful writer for Conan's show very early on in his career. Yes, O&A fans met Louis thru the show but I didn't listen to O&A or even really know anything about them until well after I already was a fan of Louis. As far as where was Howard before Louis was a big star? He was interviewing big stars. Howard always did A-list celebs and weirdoes. I, personally, don't think he owes anything to O&A. He provided them a lot of great content. Some of his appearances were great shows and the boys can just sit back and roll with him cause the guy knows how to be funny in any setting. The Howard vs. O&A thing ended a decade ago. Opie is the only one still fighting that battle. There's no reason Louis, or any comedian for that matter, shouldn't do Stern. Hell, I bet Opie would even go on Stern if Howie invited him.

Louis has outgrown O+A's tiny audience. He is doing them a favor by still appearing on their show

Haven't seen you in a while, Danny.
