Why don't O&A have writers

I don't know if writers is the right word. More of a set-up like Stern. They should surround themselves behind the scenes with funny people. They always say 'there are some funny listeners out there.' ie Cigars n scotch

They're limiting themselves with the guys they have now.

If they're the biggest show after Stern like Opie says they should have more people other than Anthony and Jim who are funny

They take lines from pal talk all the time. They get their writers for free.

Stern hasn't been funny in a decade. The best part of his show is interviews, which has nothing to do with writers. The main reason that OnA would never have writers is because they let other people come in and be funny. If they had a writer, it would be someone like Burr, CQ, Derosa, Bobby Kelly, but they already have them as regular guests. And whenever they get a line from a listener they give credit, so having writers would come off as fake.

Hoo Hoo. Opie and the Anthony stole the idea of Benji Bronk from me and created Roland. Hoo Hoo. Right Robin? Tell 'em Fred.

Too much work. They can get by (or excel) as they are.

That's why they bring in 20 comedians every month.

it is, but to be fair, when they do it on the O and A show it is more entertaining than when Bob Kelly's podcast does it, because his podcast often devolves into comedians talking shop about their careers.

That's the worst thing about the comedy podcast world. It always gets too meta.

I will be writing for them actually! Just got hired and will be moving to New York City (Manhattan) in July. Mostly witty comments about the days news but I'll be good for a pun or two now and again ; )

Sam if you read this text me I lost your number because I went clubbing and had to make room for all the new contacts (hot ladies).

Are you one of those funny mofos that Opie tweets about?

Probably
