I think the bit would be better if they opened the show with a quick update on the apologies that have been made and kept it in the form of a 60 second or less headline.

Not every one of these needs to be made into an hour long conversation full of the words 'fight back', 'embarrassing', 'scumbags' and 'despicable'.

I don't mind the apology bit, it's when they just watch TV I get frustrated.

I don't think they fault the people apologizing as much as the overly-sensitive interest groups and frightened corporate management. They understand apologies are necessary in order to keep a job. Their point is that the culture we now live in requires an apology to prevent getting fired. They despise the people that get outraged at everything and make it their job to complain about every little potentially harmful statement. Yeah, I thought this was the whole point of the bit. They goof on some of the apologies, like the ones that are obviously just written by some PR hack, or the ones that are just absolutely meaningless, but I thought the whole point was that they were sick of people HAVING to apologize for everything.

So what makes them different than anybody else who apologizes? They were forced to make a meaningless apology, twice. Do you think the recent apologies from most celebrities are sincere and done so on their own admission? Hells no! They are protecting their financial interests and their brand, just like Opie and Anthony did when they apologized. No difference.
