Good question. I just think O&A is a great show. They have good guests, they're funny, and I've listened for so many years that I almost feel like I know them personally, which makes it much easier to look past the stuff I don't like. Yes they have some ignorant opinions (the discussion on trans people from Friday was pretty frustrating to listen to), but so does everyone, and I respect their willingness to speak candidly and honestly about their beliefs. I recently finished a stint in the Marine Corps, so I'm used to being around ignorant people and liking them in spite of it.
That doesn't mean I'm okay with casual, lazy racism or sexism. I like that SRS calls it out on Reddit. Although I wouldn't want to see anyone lose their jobs over their shitty opinions, so the boys and I have that in common too.
I can understand frustration when you hear say stupid shit about race, sex or gender that reflects their actual opinion, but you shouldn't mentally flagellate yourself over a joke. Its a fucking joke.
