If the problem was bobo losing real money then why not have them do the bit using marketwatch's virtual stock exchange? it follows real stocks and you can choose how much money to use and other rules. this post is mostly for sam to hopefully see.

Realistically it wouldn't be fun, regardless of whether or not it's real money. They would either have to commit for at least a month, restrict the assets he would be allowed to buy to stuff that's ridiculously volatile, or force him to always buy on margin if he's long.
If there was a way they could have Bobo trade in futures contracts or options that would be fun because a ten cent change in something like gold would mean that Bobo would gain or lose 16 times that.
