I don't think he is trying to do it to be innovative. I think he is just truly tired of hearing them talk. One of biggest problems with Howard is that he lets people on the phone talk too much, and Opie lets Di and bobo do the same thing. I would much rather hear the boys toss the ball around then listen to Di or Bobo for more then two or three minutes.
