That was the second time he did it, the first time was from the top rope through a table. He also did it to Trish, Lita, Terri and I'm pretty sure a few others. There's a youtube video of them all.
Naw, I think the whole reason they abandoned the Attitude-era style was because they were losing a lot of the teens and young adult demographic to UFC anyway. Kids are less likely to be into that stuff.
I think the sport is fine. It just leveled off the last few years. With a lot of the big name guys retiring or just getting old and uncompetitive, the sport needs a lightning rod guy....someone that everyone wants to watch. The UFC needs a Lebron James to get the average sports fan interested. I thought Jon Jones would be that guy, but the public seems indifferent on him since his little contraversy.
Yeah, Lesnar/Mir was the peak of the mountain for Dana and company. 1.6 million ppv buys on that one. Lesnar/Carwin got 1.1 mil. They are gonna have trouble ever getting up near a mil again if GSP retires for good. He would be the only shot at it.

Good! This shit peaked in 1987. This Ufc shit is killing them too.
They should really think about going back to a younger less sleazy demo if they want to survive

They're PG now (no blood, no chair shots to the head, no men hitting women, no sleazy womens segments).

Bubba Ray powerbombed Mae Young off the stage and onto a table once. But it wasn't like a regular thing.

UFC peaked about 4 years ago and is now in steady decline in attendance, merch and PPV numbers.

Well they have been adding more and more events year over year.
In 2009 they had 20 events. In 2013 they had 33 events.
I think they only care about yearly PPV buys compared to previous years, not per event numbers.

I agree. I thought Lesnar was being pushed in that direction because he could also bring in WWE fans. But his diverticulitis stopped that quick.

I dunno if GSP can keep going. From what I heard he has some serious issues related to memory.
I think as time goes on, someone will pop up that non-mma fans latch onto. It happens in every sport sooner or later.

Maybe Dana can coax Tim Tebow into the octagon !

It actually peaked around 99/00/01. But it's still doing quite well now and is pretty entertaining.
