No more interviews would be cool with me

I like it when their homeboys roll through, well, most of them. But interviews with random celebrities plugging crap that they don't know are not as entertaining as the fellas just riffing on news and shooting the shit.

I think cutting down on interviews would be much better for the show than completely abandoning them all. Sure, listening to them (with their comic friends) is great, but I think it could become somewhat repetitive and stale. Also, without guest interviews we would miss out on some cringey goodness (Tucker Max, Craig Newmark, Tom Sizemore), and would never be completely caught off guard when a guest kills (Tim Conway).

I don't think Tim Conway's doddering old man thing was an act.

Except for every tucker max you get a Ferris wheel builder and guacamole king

reallly going out on a limb here OP

I've been skipping the interviews for years. I'd be pretty happy if they did away with them altogether.

They complained about not getting A-listers for years and when they do get a-listers then they complain. They complain either way.

No, Opie and Jim complain. it seems that Ant really doesn't give a shit.

Who cares about their complaints? It's MY complaints that matter, because ME. And most celebrity interviews end up being pretty boring. Although in that same breath, Robert Duvalle was a treat.

That would be better for Yimmy, he's the only one who prepares for A-list interviews and he's constantly put on the pay no mind list by guests right from the start... Except Tyson.

What is lacking are current and topical guests.

If I had a radio show where I kept talking about current topics, news, latest viral videos etc. I sure as hell would try to have some of those people on my show! Corey from Australia! They never do that anymore. Roland must die.

Come on in sir/ma'am take a seat. Yes we're on the air. Guest: So I thought, I'm gonna go get hammered to night. Anthony: HA HA HA HA HA GO GET HAMMERED HA HA HA HA HA.

Of course after a week of good interviews someone would come here and bitch.

Good points by all you guys, stuff like Tim Conway was pretty excellent, I mean what the hell do I know? I just was thinking about interviews like Machete cases where they were just on Stern and come by any repeat the same exact stories and bullet points.

Agree with op

I'm betting that someone down the hall pressures them to do interviews.

They're owned by a corporation who literally pays celebrities 10x-50x as much as the talent for just their names to be on a channel, so what do you think they look at when it comes time for review? Not to mention the captain of the ship, a man-child who will take any scraps that could possibly lead him closer to Howie and to a "viral video," which we can all be hopeful has to do with T-cells.
